WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CAN'T FIND ANSWER AGAINST LANCERS

The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the Loyalist Lancers for the second time in as many days on Saturday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.

The back half of the two game series against the Loyalist Lancers didn't go as planned for the Grizzlies..

Loyalist came out the more aggressive team and were able to pile up a lead the Grizzlies couldn't recover from, as the Lancers took it 87-53.

Cassidy Warren-Timpano (Phelpston) was a bright spot for the Grizzlies as the rookie had a team-high 13 point game while fellow rookie Hannah Sweet (Barrie) was also solid with 11 points in over 23 minutes of action.

The Grizzlies will continue their busy schedule as they close in on the tail-end of their regular season as they travel to face the George Brown Huskies on Wednesday, Feb. 14 in Toronto.

Georgian will play their final home game next Saturday, Feb. 17 when they host the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings. The game tips off at 1 p.m. with tickets for the game available at the doors for $5.

Prior to the game there will be a special pre-game ceremony recognizing this year's graduating student-athletes.
