MEN'S BASKETBALL CAN'T FIND SCORING TOUCH AGAINST LORDS

The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team travelled to face their rivals the Durham Lords on Tuesday night in Oshawa, ON.

It was a tough night for the Grizzlies.

Georgian were unable to find their scoring touch and trailed by as much as 27 points in the third quarter.

The Grizzlies tried to push back and were able to close the gap but it wasn't enough as they fell 80-66 to the Lords.

Connor Laronde (Barrie) led the Grizzlies in scoring with 22 points, for his fourth straight game in double-digits scoring. The third-year guard scored 20+ points for the ninth time this season.

The loss drops the Grizzlies to 9-7 on the season as they are now tied for fifth in the OCAA east division standings.

The Grizzlies will return to action this Saturday, Feb. 10 when they face the Loyalist Lancers (8-8, 8th place) at 3 p.m. in an important game for playoff positioning.

Tickets for the game at the Georgian Athletic Centre are available for $5 at the doors.
