GRIZZLIES GOLFERS COMPETING AT ONTARIO AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS

Georgian Grizzlies golfers Matt Lemay, Brady Zordan and Addison Wallwin are competing this week at both the Investors Group Ontario Men's & Women's Amateur Golf Championships.

The Men's Amateur is being held at the Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, ON. Lemay, a native of Waterloo, continues his busy summer playing schedule. Last month he made it to the finals of the Ontario Men's Match Play Championship. He has also competed at the Golf Canada University/College Championships, the RBC Canadian Open Qualifier and an U.S. Open Qualifier. Last fall Lemay won the bronze medal at the 2016 PING CCAA Golf National Championships in Prince Edward Island.

Zordan, a native of Midhurst, has also been busy competing in both the Golf Canada University/College Championships and the RBC Canadian Open Qualifier. Also participating at the event is Grizzlies alumnus Daniel Knapp. You can follow the men's scores by clicking here.

Walliwn is competing at the Women's Amateur Championship which is taking place at the Galt Country Club in Cambridge, ON. The Barrie native is the reigning champion of the 2016 PING CCAA Golf National Championship which she won last fall. Last month she competed at the Canadian University/College Championship where she was the top placing Grizzlies golfer. You can follow the women's championship results here.

Each Amateur Championship is a four round event that runs from July 11-14.
